Join me (Eva Kosmas Flores) and Valentina Solfrini of Hortus Natural Cooking for a 4-day workshop in Gradara, a beautiful Italian town nestled at the edge of a cliff against the sea. Valentina is a pioneer in chiaroscuro-style food photography, creating incredibly beautiful photographs through manipulating natural light and styling exquisite scenes. She's also an incredibly talented chef, with a special talent for seasonal Italian cooking, and I couldn't be more excited about partnering with her for a workshop in her hometown of Gradara, Italy! We'll stay in Castello Di Granarola, a restored 10th century castle complete with modern amenities (this means swimming pool!), a rustic atmosphere, and a jaw-dropping view. During the course of the workshop, Valentina and I will take you to a local winery where the vineyards are perched right above a cliff overlooking the Adriatic sea. We'll taste local wines and learn about the native grapes and the rich Italian cultural heritage of winemaking. We'll also take a walk through the beautiful seaside gardens of Gradera, where we can soak up and photograph the incredible views. During the workshop we'll be eating the finest, freshest pasta and seasonal Italian cuisine traditional to the region of northeastern Italy. Valentina and I will be teaching photography, styling, working with natural light, and storytelling, and we'll also cover the business side of photography, branding, blogging, email list-building, and social media as well as post-processing in Adobe Lightroom.
